Eastern Pacific

Clams, mussels and tubeworms are also found in the eastern Pacific province, off the western coast of Mexico and Central America. However, the dominate tubeworm species in this region is Riftia pachyptila, a taller and fatter species than the one in the Northeast Pacific. Tevnia jerichonana, another species of tubeworm is also found here.
