SEAS: Student Experiments At Sea

Report Fair

The SEAS Student Report Fair is not available this academic year. We are in the process of transitioning the SEAS program to FLEXE, a new Earth System project in the GLOBE program.

Sharing your results with others is one of the most important steps in a scientific investigation. Each spring, SEAS hosts a student report fair, in which you can submit a report on your classroom-to-sea investigation and earn prizes in these categories:

Prizes!

Prizes may include items from the deep and framed 8"x10" pictures of the deep-sea environment.

Winning reports are also posted on this website once prizes have been awarded.

How to put your report together

Write a report describing what you did (methods) and why (introduction), what you found out (results), and what hypotheses your results support or suggest (discussion). Your teacher may ask you to write this report on your own or with classmates. For useful information about how to prepare your report, read these guidelines (27KB pdf download).

Since SEAS is a national program, we can only accept one report per class (pick your best!). When your teacher sends us your class report, it will be read by deep-sea scientists.

Every class that sends in a report will get a SEAS poster and comments from the scientists who read their report.
